The International Coronelli Society, Vienna Call (Poziv) The International Coronelli Society for the Study of Globes dedicates itself to the study of the globe, its history and its significance in the socio-cultural context. It is a non profit organisation. The Society, founded in Vienna in 1952, is the only one of its kind in the world and it is one of the oldest dedicated to the history of cartography. Its most important aims and activities are: - to collect and document information related to the study of globes, i.a. by compilation of a "world list of old globes" - to facilitate communication among the society's members - to encourage research on globes - to publish the scientific journal "Globe Studies" - to organise international scientific symposia. To support the compilation of the mentioned "world list of old globes" the Society would appreciate informations about old globes (made before 1950) in Croatia.
